From small farming enterprises to the highest levels of industry, we have worked extensively to deliver precision agriculture services tailored to our customers' individual needs.

  • Chief Executive Officer - Ben Fleay

    Ben is responsible for the day to day operations of Precision Agriculture and is heavily involved in all aspects of the business.  Ben has extensive experience in agribusiness; was Managing Director with SQP Grain and at Emerald Grain was responsible for all grower origination and distribution activities in Victoria, NSW and SA.

    Previously Ben worked as a senior cotton agronomist for six years with corporate farms through NSW, and grew up on a local sheep and cropping enterprise.  Ben has a degree in Agricultural Science from Melbourne University.
  • Research & Innovation Manager - Dean Jones

    Dean leads our research and innovation activities nationally, including the delivery of commercial services to government, research and industry bodies.  This key role involves business and market development, conducting of research projects and managing our relationships with key technology suppliers.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       Dean has a wealth of experience, having worked extensively in research and advisory roles for a range of State and Federal Government agriculture departments. He holds a Masters in Sustainable Agriculture, Graduate Certificates in River Health and Irrigation, a Graduate Diploma in Education and a Bachelor of Applied Science.
  • Advisor, Queensland & Northern NSW - Clayton Thomas

    Clayton's passion for agriculture and rural Australia is reflected in the breadth of experience he holds across crop management, agribusiness and commodities marketing.

    Prior to joining Precision Agriculture, Clayton held roles as Regional Manager for GrainGrowers, Operations Manager for Agristorage & Logistics, Site Manager for GrainCorp and roles for CLAAS, Landmark and Meat & Livestock Association. He holds a Bachelor degree in Agrifood Systems from the University.

  • Advisor, Western Australia - Bindi Isbister

    Bindi is an environmental scientist (honours in soil science) with more than fifteen years experience working in agricultural research and development in Western Australia.

    Growing up on a farm in Kojonup (WA) and working with the Department of Agriculture and Food (WA) for ten years as Development Officer, Bindi has developed a thorough understanding of wheat research, saltland pasture, controlled traffic farming, precision agriculture and soil carbon management.
  • Advisor, Northern Riverina & Central West NSW - Eva Moffitt

    Eva has a strong background in agriculture and is highly qualified in geo-spatial technologies, having been awarded the university science medal for her studies in geoscience and biology. She previously worked for four years applying her studies to the mining industry, which has significant crossover in systems used in precision agriculture.

    Hailing from Temora where she grew up on her family's broadacre farm, Eva undertook a number of precision farming activities for her family prior to joining Precision Agriculture.

  • Advisor, Southern Riverina & North East Victoria - Matt Kelly

    Matt Kelly is our Advisor for the Southern Riverina and North East Victoria; an area encompassing all clients south of Wagga Wagga.

    Matt has significant experience in the agriculture and technology sector, having worked in a variety of roles over the past ten years across NSW and WA, and remains actively involved in the family farm near Ganmain. Matt has also completed a Bachelor of Agricultural Business Management from Charles Sturt University.

  • Advisor, Western Victoria and Gippsland - Simon Gabb

    Simon Gabb is our Advisor for Western Victoria and Gippsland.

    Simon has significant experience in the agricultural sector, having worked in a variety of roles over the past twelve years across Victoria, NSW, Queensland and WA - as well as internationally - and remains actively involved in the family farm near Skipton. Simon is also completing a Bachelor of Agribusiness from Marcus Oldham 

  • Advisor, Wimmera/Mallee, South Ausralia and Tasmania- Daniel Bell

    Growing up on a mixed farming enterprise north of Warracknabeal in Victoria, Daniel developed a keen interest in agronomy work and has a passion for assisting growers in managing spatial variability on their farms.

    After graduating from Adelaide University with a bachelor of Agricultural Sciences in 2016, Daniel took on a technician role with Precision Agriculture, utilising and applying the latest technology and data collection systems.  After an outstanding performance in this role, Daniel was promoted to an Advisor, responsible for the Wimmera & Mallee, South Australia                                               and Tasmanian regions.

  • Operations Manager, Ballarat - Meera Cameron

    Meera is our Operations Manager, based out of the Ballarat office.  Meera leads a team of GIS Technicians, who are collectively responsible for the compilation and processing of spatial farm data and production of results and reports for customers. Meera has Bachelor degrees in Agricultural Science and International Development from La Trobe University.

    Previously Meera has worked in Horticultural Research and Development, and is part of the third generation on the family's broad acre, sheep and beef property at Skipton. 

  • GIS Technician, Queensland - Sophie Geldenhuis

    Sophie is responsible for the day to day processing of geospatial data to create user friendly, accurate maps. Sophie is a country girl from the Tablelands in Far North Queensland. She completed an extensive two-year training program at Transport and Main Roads, focusing on Spatial Science and Civil Design and subsequently graduated with an Associate Degree in Spatial Science.

  • CHAIRMAN, Warwick Read

    Warwick is Chairman of Precision Agriculture and brings to the company demonstrated experience in both agribusiness and primary production. He is a fifth generation farmer and has held several agribusiness roles including as former Director and Chairman of agricultural co-operative Southern Quality Produce and seed company GrainSearch. He holds an Associate Diploma in International Trade and Marketing at RMIT, has completed the Australian Institute of Company Directors course and has worked as a wool buyer.

  • DIRECTOR, Andrew Whitlock

    Andrew is a founder of Precision Agriculture and holds positions on both the board and in the business. He is responsible for delivery of our services to farmers, working closely with our team of advisors and technicians to implement site specific crop management.He has also been involved in consulting to industry on major projects.

    An Agricultural Science (hons) student from Melbourne University, Andrew was formerly the Department of Primary Industry's Precision Agriculture Agronomist (VIC) and was awarded Young Agronomist of the Year (2006).
  • DIRECTOR, Mick Cattanach

    Mick currently operates a cotton farm in Southern NSW, having worked extensively in primary production and corporate agribusiness. He was previously Managing Director of Emerald Grain, General Manager Marketing for national co-operative group NETCO and has overseen the grain marketing and wool production activities for DR Johnston and ConAgra (Australia). He is a former Director of Southern Quality Produce, Elginbah Pastoral Company and Australian Bulk Alliance. He holds a bachelor degree in Business (Agricultural Commerce) from the University of Sydney.
  • DIRECTOR, Mike Chaseling

    Mike has over 30 years' agribusiness experience, most recently as co-founder and Director of Emerald grain. He was previously CEO of NETCO (a group of farmer co-operatives) and held senior grain marketing positions at ConAgra (Australia), DR Johnston and the Australian Wheat Board. He was Director of Southern Quality Produce and Grain Trade Australia, has consulted to the Sydney Futures Exchange on agricultural commodities and owned an organic mixed farming enterprise in Northern NSW. He holds a Bachelor of Applied Science (Systems Agriculture) from the University of Western Sydney and has completed the Advanced Management Program at the Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania (USA).
  • DIRECTOR, Murray De Jong

    Murray is a qualified lawyer who has held senior roles in both agricultural and legal industries. He is currently acting CFO of Burra Foods. Previously at Emerald Grain he was General Manager of Strategy and Business Development, General Manager Western Region, General Manager Corporate Services, Company Secretary /General Counsel and acting CFO. He was Executive Director and Commercial Manager of an agribusiness and real estate investment group and Corporate Advisor / Lawyer to real estate group APN. He also worked with legal firms Hall & Willcox and Duffy & Simon. Murray holds an MBA from Melbourne business school and Bachelor degrees in both Law and Commerce (Deakin University).
